Our Top 5 Grief Support Tips

Our Top 5 Grief Support Tips

Athena Harden August 29, 2025

This coming Saturday (8/30) is National Grief Awareness Day, and we’ve spent the last few months reflecting on what it means to show up for one another in life’s hardest moments while collaborating with someone who also knows grief all to well.

Sympathy and empathy cards may never be the most sought after cards on a shelf (and honestly, thank goodness for that!), but we do believe they’re essential for tending our grieving hearts and offering connections with others. Grief and hard times are just as real as the joyful moments, and a simple note and card showing up in our mailboxes can really help us show up for each other in both.

This collection was a deeply meaningful collaboration with Lisa Keefauver, MSW author, grief guide, and host of Grief is a Sneaky Bitch. Together, we created cards that say what’s hard to put into words: designs that feel true and offer comfort without asking anything in return.

We hope these cards serve as tools for connection on Grief Awareness Day and beyond. May they help you support someone you love, or give language to your own journey.
